The Vice President of Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC), Ravin Wickramaratne, who chaired the press briefing in connection with the Sri Lanka A Team’s tour of India last Friday at the SLC auditorium, observed that it was one of the best A teams Sri Lanka was sending to India. “Basically the Sri Lanka A team squad comprises of basically very strong talent from the domestic structure and a few Sri Lanka players too have been chosen to match the Indians as well as some youngsters who have done extremely well,” he said. 2019 ICC CRICKET WORLD CUP Sri Lanka will mount its campaign at the 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup that gets underway in England on May 30 with Skipper Dimuth Karunaratne leading his men against New Zealand in their opening fixture at Cardiff on June 1 at 3 p.m. Sri Lanka time.
